Things look brighter when you see them through sustainably-made sunglasses. So, if you can’t get your old ones repaired, Dick Moby is a sustainable alternative.
When two Dutch surfers, Tim and Robert saw all the plastic waste floating around in the ocean, they wanted to do something about it. One successful crowdfunding campaign later, Dick Moby – makers of biodegradable eyewear – was launched.
Their beautiful range of sunglasses are handcrafted in Italy, out of 97% recycled bio-based acetate (a material made without crude oil or toxic plasticisers). This basically means they’re a lot less bad than your average pair of sunnies.
Every pair of sunglasses comes in a recycled leather case, with a cleaning cloth made out of used plastic bottles. Very neat.
And apparently, they can’t wait to sit on your face, (seriously, that’s what they’re saying).
