Things look brighter when seen through sustainably-made sunglasses. So, if you can’t get your old ones repaired, Dick Moby is a sustainable alternative.
Their beautiful range of sunglasses are handcrafted in Italy out of 97% recycled bio-based acetate, (a material made without crude oil or toxic plasticisers), which basically means they’re a lot less bad then your average pair of sunnies.
When two Dutch surfers, Tim and Robert saw all the plastic waste floating around in the ocean, they wanted to do something about it. And so they did. One successful crowdfunding campaign later, Dick Moby – makers of biodegradable eyewear – was launched.
Every pair of these sunglasses comes in a recycled leather case with a cleaning cloth made out of used, plastic bottles. Very neat.
And apparently, they can’t wait to sit on your face (seriously, that’s what they say).
